Cary Tennis Park Closing 12 Courts
If you play at Cary Tennis Park, make sure to plan ahead! Starting Monday (Oct. 5th) the park is closing Courts 1 through 12, along with the North parking lot and the restrooms next to it for some upcoming renovations.
Why? The courts have outlived their 20-year lifespan and the town is replacing the cracked asphalt with a newer post-tension concrete. This will last longer, hold up better against cracking and shifting, and plays more evenly. They're also adding professional-level LED lights to the court perimeter.
What's still open? The other 13 outdoor courts and the seven indoor courts, but access will be limited as renovation work continues.
Other places to play? There is a list of other facilities as well for both tennis and pickleball.
Pass holder info: If your pass was active on October 1st, it's automatically extended by six months. You can also ask to cancel and get a refund for the time. New annual passes are on pause for now, with a couple of exceptions listed at their link.
The project also will add walkways to make the park more ADA accessible, there will be more bleacher seating, and shade canopies and general structural improvements. The work should wrap up around Spring 2027.

Help Us Find Our Next Local Partner
You’ve probably noticed we try to be pretty selective about who we show to our audience to, especially as we continue to grow in Cary, Raleigh, and the greater Triangle area.
We’ve turned down ads from sketchy companies and businesses that weren’t the right fit, regardless of the paid offer. We only want to share things that are helpful and we don’t want to add more noise in your inbox just for a paycheck.
Most of the businesses we feature become long-term partners and we strive to keep that relationship thriving with everyone we interact with. Right now, we’re looking to team up with a couple of those trusted businesses as we close out the year.
If that sounds like your business, your spouse’s, or a friend’s, reach out below and let’s get the conversation started. Or just reply to this email, it’s that simple.

Town Updates & Tip Line
It’s a fairly slow week once again. No town meetings since the 28th (next updates would be around the 5th). There are a few minor updates though, listed below:
With Hurricane season being in swing and off the back of Water Main issues, the city posted some useful resources on preparation and alerts. Check that out at this link.
